The Venice Fest was born from resilience, community, and a shared vision. Kris and Sarah both opened businesses on Venice Boulevard in 2019, just before the world shut down. Facing uncertainty, they found strength in their neighborhood. In 2021, as businesses reopened, Kris dreamed up a block party to support local shops. A mutual connection introduced him to Sarah, who was already hosting small business events. Their shared passion led to the first Venice Fest in November 2021. Now in 2025, Kris and Sarah are proud parents, and their small gathering has grown into the Westside’s most beloved community event—celebrating local businesses, families, and the vibrant spirit of the Westside.
